Every day, the children are given coffee/tea by
6.00 am; Tiffin by 8.00 am;
meals by 12.30 pm; coffee/tea, by 4.00 pm; and
dinner by 8.00pm.
Medititation and Prayer
Every day the
children are given practice in meditation and prayer, two time a
day, between 7 am to 7.30 am both morning and evening. They are
also taught “Yoga”, dily an hour.
Schooling
8.30 am
to 12 noon and 1.00pm to 3.30, expect on Sundays and on other holidays
Entertainment
Playing both
in-door and out-door games, physical exercises and TV programmes
are some of the entertainment provided to children.
Co-Curricular Activities
Conducting
speech and writing competition, drawings, doing models, folk
songs stag plays are some of the co-curricular activities, to
exhibit their creativity and talents.
Medical Check-ups
Medical check
ups re done, for all the children of CRECHE UNIT and Old aged
People, Once in a fortnight and they are provided with
recommended / prescribed tablets / tonics etc.,
Library facility
A Mini Library
is functioning institute, having books on tales, literatures,
stories, general knowledge, scientific magazines, Indian
Cultures, nature’s gift etc., and other entertainment aspects. The children are facilitated to utilize the library at any time,
they need.
Attached with
the children, under the same roof, Old Age Citizens, who are
socially uncared, are provided a healthy and peaceful
environment.
They are given
nutritious and easily digestible food like “ragi Kanchi”,
"Oil-less Chappathi”, steamed Vegetables/ Greens, Etc.,
To keep them
enthusiastic and energetic, TV Watching, folk songs group
discussions are conducted. They are also given training on
knitting of wire baskets, weaving of bamboo baskets etc., and
the products are marketed and the income our of it, are spent
for them. This is practiced to create a self-confidence in
them. Thus they are given a peaceful atmosphere.
Apart from our
routine, activities we also conduct a few activities
periodically, with the help of local volunteers.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
On 28.02.2003
one Blood Donation Camp was conducted with the help of local
youth welfare associations and Lion’s Club, About 150 volunteers
participated.
AWARENESS CAMP ON AIDS
Aim :
To create awareness on AIDS, among the village people,
particularly among youths, dirvers, loading men workers, engaged
in Modern Rice Mill, Brick Chambers etc., Venue

PARTICIPANTS
About 60 participants of
various categories attended the camp and benefited. They were
provided with team and snacks, both morning and evening and
lunch at noon. Hand folders, in Tamil, were distributed.

Function
The camp
started by 9 am. The programme was proceeded by Mr.Kanda
Subramanian the panchayat President of Kathirvedu. Mrs
Adilakshmi, director of Annai Illam, delivered welcome
speech. Then started, the speech delivery on various aspects of
AIDS. The camp ended by 5 pm, with vote of thanks, delivered by Mr. Ranganathan.
FUTURE VISION
To expand and to strengthen our service better, so s to achieve
our target of 500 children, in a period of 5 years, including
other project areas.
To provide them good food, good shelter, good clothings and
good education with good discipline and patriotism .
To create our children as doctors, Engineers, Scientists and
other top-level professionals, who will serve for our nation.
To establish a vocational training center on Non-Traditional
employment particularly for youths and women.
To estabilish counseling centres, to serve for widows, destitute
and other helpless old age people and to guide them towards as
secured life.
To establish Mini health Centres at every village to have any
time accessibility for the basic medical needs, particularly for
the children and women.
